Established more than 40 years ago, RIAMAR is probably the most renowned Portuguese brand of fiberglass powerboats. RIAMAR is currently renewing and improving its offer of recreational and fishing boats as well as its offer of professional fishing boats. When we talk about RIAMAR boats, we must talk about the man who has been designing them for 40 years: Alves Barbosa. Being one of the best powerboat racers of the 60s (European champion in 1967), he incorporates his expertise as sailor and designer in each RIAMAR boat. We often see old RIAMAR boats, in very good condition and sailing with remarkable performances, which is an evidence of the quality of its design and construction.

The RIAMAR production plant was in Aveiro, but a few years ago a violent fire destroyed the plant and forced the company to restructure: IBERNÁUTICA - Industrias Náuticas, Lda., was born on May 2000 with its head-office at MALAPOSTA - ANADIA, and is now producing and marketing again RIAMAR boats. The production plant has three pavilions, where the assembly lines of the models in production are located as well as the facilities for developing new models.
